Welcome To The Dog Days

Late Summer Cheer Up

They're still here............the dog days of summer racing. If you started your season at the Wind Duathlon or maybe even the Quad............you've put your time in already. Some local athletes may have competed 15 times or more already this season! And its not over yet. Some locals are getting ready for the 5430, IM Wisconsin or even Hawaii, while others are scrambling to get their 10 finishes in to compete for an age group title in the SW Challenge Series.

Whatever your motivation, this can be the time of the year when your get up and go......has long since got up and went. Maybe you're longing for some cooler weather fall races or the fall running season. Maybe you've wound down your competitive season and are taking some time off before the winter base season sets in. Others will be gearing up to race outside the region in a few months time.

Regardless of the category you fit into.........remember this..........we're very lucky to have the racing and training opportunities that we have here in NM and west Texas. The SW Challenge Series might not be your cup of tea.........but it's the biggest such series in the country.......right here in our backyard. Some have asked for some longer distance races here in NM................pick up the phone.....call some friends and get a committee started.............call me first........I'll be happy to help.........let's do it.

                            The Modaves

In hopes of brightening your summer day.............I've pulled a few photo's from the vast TT/NM photo file and posted them here. The pictures are from colder and warmer times.........happier and sadder...........faster and slower.......Whatever............appreciate what you do to compete in this great sport of ours.........I do.
