With the change from
a triathlon to duathlon format this season, we talked with Bill Hammond from
WSMR to confirm the course that will be used for the Wind Duathlon.
1st 5K Run
Paved clockwise loop out of transition - fairly flat.
30K Bike
Clockwise loop out of transition - 1st 2-3 miles slight downhill then
mostly flat with several small climbs.
2nd 5K Run
Out and back trail run (same as the one used in the White Sands Duathlon
in February) - mostly flat packed dirt and gravel with several very small
hills and a few areas of soft sand.
There you have it. Time to get ready for the first run-bike-run duathlon
of the season. See you there!
