Member Bio Questionnaire Date:
01/14/03 Years in Triathlon: 3 Single or Family, if Family, how large: Family - Wife Sonjia, Son Kevin, Daughter Chelsea Where do you live: Roswell Short paragraph of
Triathlon background to include, how long you have been doing Triathlons, maybe
some names of races you’ve been in, any top finishes? I've been back to
triathlon for the last 3 years. I also like to race bikes on the road and
mountain. I guess I just like to race. I consider every finished race a best
finish. Worst Finishes: F-1 last year. I took some time off and gained weight. That race sure punished me for it. Favorite Race(s): Carlsbad Kiwanas Tri and all of the Bottomless Lakes races. Funniest thing that has happened to you during a race: The first time I wore a wetsuit for a tri I finished the swim and very quickly stripped the suit down....Thats when I realized that I forgot to tie the drawstring on my bike shorts and yes it was a bit revealing. One piece of advice: Never , ever quit. That's the only time you truly lose. Big race(s) of the year: Ironman Florida. Just going for a legal finish. Favorite After Race recovery food: Is beer a food? Best excuse for a bad performance: Just got back from a weeklong vacation at the beach. And too much recovery food. ;-) Favorite Training routine: The loop around Bottomless Lakes. The ride out is 25 miles, then swim for 45 minutes, then ride home. Short paragraph about life outside of Triathlons: My life outside of triathlons revolves around my family. We do a lot of things together and I try to make them a part of tri also. My son Kevin is racing now and my daughter Chelsea is my biggest fan. Most of all my wife Sonjia is my absolute biggest supporter. She goes to all the races and puts up with all the training. I can't thank her enough.
