Years in Triathlon: 5 Single or Family, if Family, how large: Family –Wife, two Daughters, one son Where do you live: Albuquerque - west side Short paragraph of Triathlon background to include, how long you have been doing Triathlons, maybe some names of races you’ve been in, any top finishes? My Tri Experiences haven’t been that exciting. Normally I do 5-7 races per year with an additional 5 – 7 running races. My running includes marathons and half-marathons. The only top tri finish was
2nd place at the F1 in 2002- but I think all my main competitors had the flu –
mechanical problems or were just tired! Worst Finishes: Milk man several years ago – Just got over the stomach flu & hadn’t had a real meal in three days. But it was the first race of my season and I had to do it. Favorite Race(s): Buffalo Springs – just because there were so many great people at the race. Funniest thing that has happened to you during a race: This didn’t really happen to me but at least I got to witness it. Michael G left his racing flats in the back of my truck during the F1 and couldn’t find them during the first running transition. One piece of advice: Crush your water cups into a V before drinking Big race(s) of the year: Buffalo Springs ( just want to finish) Favorite After Race recovery food: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich Best excuse for a bad performance: I was at sea level for the two week prior to the race – especially applies to the Los Alamos Tri. Favorite Training routine: The loop around the Santa Fe Community College. Four great hills, a killer cross wind at the bottom of one hill and very little traffic. Short paragraph about life outside of Triathlons: My life outside of triathlons consists of my family and work. I’m and avid PC gamer and often host Lan parties at my house.
